Sierra Tango is an agency specializing in strategic communications in the field of defence and security. We support civilian and military actors through comprehensive audits and bespoke services:

Our team is looking for a motivated colleague to support the implementation of cutting-edge missions. We offer the opportunity to contribute to the development of a rapidly growing agency, with recognised sector expertise in the field of defence. The position will provide the successful candidate with a rewarding and varied experience with close contacts with EU defence stakeholders such as industry representatives, technical experts, press and researchers.
We are offering a Project Officer position. The selected candidate will contribute to strengthening Sierra Tango’s expertise, enhancing the visibility of both the agency and its clients within the defence ecosystem, and promoting public awareness of defence-related issues.
Main responsibilities:
- Help shape innovative communications strategies for Sierra Tango and its clients
- Create compelling content tailored to different platforms, including articles, press releases, social media posts and more
- Conduct legal research and provide insightful analysis through detailed reports and memos.
- Assist in the management of social media channels, monitoring industry trends and identifying new opportunities
- Contribute to the distribution and promotion of Sierra Echo, our weekly newsletter
Profile:
- Master’s degree in European Affairs or Political Science with a special interest in institutional communications
- Previous experience in the field of defence, EU policy with a focus on communications
- Demonstrated ease and fluency in using major social media channels
- Proficiency with Canva
- Excellent writing skills, ability to popularise sharp content
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and French
- An aptitude for networking
- Ability to work independently
- Creativity, dynamism, responsiveness, and initiative.
Conditions:
- Duration: 6 months (renewable) starting from September 2025. This position may lead to a permanent role.
- Work organization: Full-time position with 3 days per week in the office (Brussels or Louvain-La-Neuve, Belgium) and 2 days remote.
- This is a paid contract that will be framed by ‘Convention d’Immersion Professionnelle’ under Belgian law.
